Highly recommend Freedom Sports Medicine. I had treatment for my back issues and after a few sessions I have seen significant improvement. Received best care and advice from Daniel and Emma. They understood my chronic pain very well and gave the right strategies in terms of movement and exercises.
I have come to see Daniel after many years of seeing other physios with shoulder problems.Daniel has been amazing at helping me to be able to figure out what is wrong but also why I keep having to go back and see other physios. Daniel is also helping me learn how to treat myself if problems arise again. Yes, these guys are pricey, but Daniel has helped me figure out a plan that is closer to my budget.I also want to point out the care and precision that has been taken to help me out with my injuries. Daniel created a solid plan and timeline right from the start, of how we are going to proceed to get me back to exercising. He has also been thorough in ensuring I know what to do and how to do it, tailoring my rehab to the way I like to exercise. He also provides excellent feedback and instructions on how to follow our rehab plan.I can wholly recommend Freedom Sports Medicine. I was referred to these guys by multiple other people who have seen them too. They told me “they are the best”. I agree.
The level of service here is commendable, and I would definitely recommend it to others. Although the costs are on the higher side, it's important to note that the team is highly focused on creating a personalized program for you. They are very committed to helping you set a clear end goal and work diligently to ensure that, once your program is complete, you will be equipped with knowledge and skills necessary to maintain your health. Over a number of years I have had many horrific injuries including; broken ribs, compression fractures, hip replacement, skeletal abnormalities, chronic injuries from the past having being played a high level of football. Visited with 14/15 yr old son with hip pain, and now back with an unrelated cricket injury. Amazing holistic approach by Ross and his team - assessment, treatment, followup - all focusing on the patient as well as the injury. A lot of attention paid to patients’ attitude and motivation, and athletic goals, and consideration of their timelines and availability. I’ve seen the Freedom team a few different times over the years. Through their philosophy and the different tools they have given me I’m able to stay strong and on top of any pain.
If you’re looking for a high calibre team of physiotherapists and consultants and have a lingering injury, go to Freedom Sports Medicine. Ross and his team carefully consider your goals and give you support to achieve them through a well thought out management plan. Getting pain free takes work and time though! I’ve been seeing the team initially twice a week now down to once a week over the span of about 2 months. They set a lot of exercises that are modified and updated as you progress through the plan. The exercises I’ve been given target specific muscles and measurable goals that are clear. It’s up to you to earn them between appointments. I’m a ninja warrior and have a meniscus tear in my knee with on and off pain, when it’s on it’s really painful. The team has helped me see results where I’m now pain free doing certain exercises that were terribly painful and couldn’t do before.
I have been coming to Freedom for 4 weeks and the treatment I have received for my knees is already showing great results. Dan and Emma are very knowledgeable and easy to get along so I am very comfortable with my program.

I know this review will be challenged. I will be reminded I did not complete the 'treatment plan ' .. maybe it will be mentioned that I never did the required exercises at home (but I truly did) . Firstly I have to say everyone in the clinic is absolutely beautiful and friendly, but I believe in my gut instinct. I was in a very vulnerable position, feeling so frustrated with a slow healing injury I by chance came across Freedom Medicine online in Mooroolbark the reviews inspired me and a I battled for a couple of weeks re the cost of initial appointment with Ross.I concluded I am worth it and so is my mobility long term. I ended up in tears at my first appointment as this injury has been life changing.I committed to a 'treatment plan' a generic ankle /foot plan, but was very willing to take a leap in faith for some promise of recovery. I have to stress this feedback is not due to my improvement/or lack of, but my gut was quickly telling me something but I ignored it due to wanting a positive outcome and wanting to give them benefit of doubt. I was surprised that feet and ankle injuries can be so uniformed with recovery...Overall for the short few weeks I did (twice a week) involved SO much money for consultations, half of each visit was assessment of my progress and literally might have been two to three days between appointments. I didn't want to ask any questions or talk to Ross through treatment because I doubt if he realised he stopped doing hands on treatment everytime he spoke. I am not suggesting I had personally a bad experience with them or they haven't helped anyone previously. Deep down I was just a $ $ sign to them in the end I felt. It was more about wine and dine.. a show.I have no regrets stopping treatment but I would equally spend every cent if I felt they had been genuine.I already know my response will be negative to this feedback.. but I have always placed ethics high before the money.No motive other than to make sure other people listen to their gut and instincts.I suspect my review will be challenged with something being 'my fault ' but they need to take on board constructive criticism if really care about clients/patients.We are people trying to live and come to you at a vulnerable time, please don't take advantage of us.

Ross is amazing. After badly hurting my knee in footy I needed someone to show me proper rehab. I went to countless different Physio’s in order to get me back to playing as quickly as I could and none could get my knee to where it needed to be. I found Ross and he set me out a extremely detailed 12 week plan. After the first week I knew he was the man I needed to see. Couldn’t recommend more highly

I found Freedom Sports Medicine through the high reviews that it received. Came in with a case of tennis elbow which Ross treated amazingly. I’d never heard of shockwave therapy before, but I’m so glad I came here and got to go through it. Anyone with joint pain through injury that wants to get it fixed and get back to doing the activities they love, I really recommend Ross from Freedom Sports Medicine. The plan for rehab back to activity is all planned out with you and adds in a holistic approach while directly treating the injury. Thanks for your help.

Freedom has helped me work through injury to my achillies tendons. Through following their advice and help i went from being barely being able to play basketball for a few minutes to playing out full games and training. They helped me to get through this lingering injury that i was dealing with for almost a year in a few months. I was able to return to my representive level basketball healthy and strong which i had doubted being able to do. Special thanks to Dan and Freedom overall for their knowledge and guidance through this period would highly recommend anyone to use Freedom for any injuries old or new. I've been seeing Daniel Cavallin for a few months now it's been amazing. I showed up suffering from severe lower back pain from ruptured disc injury and nerve pain through low back and left glute, after weeks of ongoing treatment and constant help I'm back training daily in weight training and multiple martial arts.When I first started with the program, I was very unhappy and in pain often. I was very sceptical with the program length and cost but after the sessions and on going support I highly recommend this physio over any of the multplie I've been to in the area.These guys and girls will put in the work to get you to your best but you have to put in the effort yourself to see the best results.They lay the platform and support you during this journey but you still have to put in the work it's not just rock up get a rub and move on stick to the program and the cost will definitely pay off.Highly recommendedGo add more to this review these guys set out a plan over some months that teach you how to develop yourself to fix and maintain your recover its not a sit and rub or hook up to a machine your are setup for success in your own treatment method and strength training and mobility workMight seem like a massive step signing up to the program but well worth it

I have been treated at freedom sports since I was young for various injuries during my sporting career with Ross and his team. Always with positive outcomes which got me back to my sport stronger than before. Recently I have partially ruptured my acl and I’m back at freedom sports getting help. Over 4 months ago I had a minor back injury and I was struggling to run without getting pain in my legs. Now after completing my physio training program I am now pain free and running powerful and strong, ready to complete a half marathon in a couple of months. I am now training at the gym, doing the exercises and running consistently and absolutely loving it. I can't thank Freedom Sports Movement enough for the encouragement, teaching and support. I've been to other physio's, but the consistency, support and dedication of the program and physio's at Freedom have helped create the results that I wanted, and have put me in the right path to meet my future goals.

Amazing results in just the first 5 sessions enabled me to go on a 12 night cruise without the aid of a crutch, on the cruise I noticed quite a number of other people with a similar condition as me, I noticed their behavior was quite less active as mine. At Feedom a clear diagnosis and treatment plan is provided, now after 6 months the strength and possitive impact on my life is fantastic, feeling independent and strong.
